The Ritual Transmission Agency presents the Salon of the Rose + Cross 2022, an international exposition of new mysticisms within contemporary art.
Last held over 125 years ago in Paris, France, the Salon of the Rose + Cross was hosted annually to celebrate the opulent, fin-de-siecle spiritualism of its day. Over a century later, the RTA seeks to promote the magico-theurgical currents pulsating beneath the surface of our own present. Yet this time, our ceremony takes place at the end of the world, in Sydney, Australia.

When you are lying in the hospital bed, there is not much else you can do. In every sense. The howl, a resigned sigh, the mechanical beeps, a weary tear.
The installation piece is all-encompassing, of trickling thoughts whilst in the emergency room, of observations, of the room. Flickers of fragmented memories, yearning for the mundane. Seeking comfort in the resemblance beneath the objects that seem familiar yet so distant.
The audience is encouraged to immerse themselves by surrendering to the room.
